ULTRASONIC WATER METER |
Series DMTFW ultrasonic water meters utilizes newest digital transit-time processing technology, with compact shape featuring longevity, good stability and high accuracy for all-electronic industrial environment. The meters contain no moving parts and don't need any external power, with the character of low power consumption. The meters are designed for easy installation. Even users don't need to set parameters. The meters have the same dimensions with industrial water meter but can be used just as conveniently as normal water meters. |
Principle of Operation
Dynameters ultrasonic water meter utilizes two sensors T1 & T2 and they are mounted inside the pipe. Suggest the sound is transmitting form T1 and the time interval to reach T2 is t1 and from T2 to T1 is t2. When the liquid is flowing the t1 and t2 will have a slight time difference. After the time difference has been measured, we can use the following formula to calculate the velocity.
V=D¡Á(t1-t2)/[t1¡Át2¡ÁSIN(2¦È)]
D is the inner diameter of the pipe; B is the angle of the T1-T2 and the pipe axis.
Velocity multiply the pipe section area is the flow rate.
Since B is fixed, the velocity is only related to t1 and t2 and has nothing to do with the fluid.
